We would love to have you join us at the Coho Festival to help out. There are plenty of jobs to be done so go on and register to volunteer and be part of our Coho Festival crew.
By volunteering with the Coho Society you are helping to protect and rejuvenate Salmon Habitat on the North Shore! Thank you in advance!
Volunteers needed!
General volunteer information:
- Most day-of-event shifts are 3-4 hours
- Pre-planning committee starts to meet in May and meets 1-4 times per month (more often closer to the event)
- Good command of english is needed
- Volunteer Orientation will be held 7-10 days prior to Festival.
- Please sign up to volunteer prior to September 1st as no website registrations will be accepted after that date.
We will do our best to place you into the volunteer position you have indicated.
Beverage Garden
Duties include:
- cash and debit machine ticket sales
- “Serve it Right” recommended
- clean up tables
BBQ
Duties include:
- working with public directing food line traffic
- cash and debit machine ticket sales
- distributing items for BBQ meals
Coho Swim
Duties include:
- day of race registration (cash and debit machine)
Coho Walk
Duties include:
- cash ticket sales
- assisting public with Coho walk information
- assisting with bus transportation
Information Tent & Volunteer station
Duties include:
- communicating with public
- will need to familiarize quickly with site and events information
- good organizational skills & able work alone
- will need to familiarize quickly with site and events information
- vouchers and meal tickets redemption
- staff & volunteer T shirt distribution
Kids Park
Duties include:
- cash and debit machine ticket sales
Parking
Duties include:
- working with public directing traffic to parking areas
- managing barricades and access points to site
- Saturday and Sunday shifts available
Setup (Saturday)
Shift: 2pm – 6pm. Duties include:
- Set up includes tents (manual work & some heavy lifting)
- marking exhibitor allocations
- sign set up
Set up (Sunday)
Shift: 8am – 11am. Duties include:
- Set up including tents, signs, tables and chairs (manual work & some heavy lifting)
Take down (Sunday)
Shift: 5pm – 8pm. Duties include:
- Take down including tents, signs, tables and chairs (manual work & some heavy lifting)
